Successful management of a patient with arthritis requires that we address several things including pain, inflammation and structural changes in the joint. There are a variety of products available to veterinarians that can be administered by joint injection (intra-articular therapies) to achieve those goals. An understanding of how each product works is important for getting the best result for an individual patient. Dr. James Gaynor and Dr. Marie Bartling highlight a couple of veterinary joint care products and how they can be used to get the best outcomes for dogs with arthritis.
