When a dog experiences a seizure, even a brief seizure can seem like an eternity to an observer. Owners of dogs are generally
encouraged to time the length of a seizure as that can be one factor that helps to determine a management plan for the dog.
Dr. Karen Muรฑana - a veterinary neurologist at North Carolina State University - explains why we get concerned about seizures
lasting more than 5 minutes and what owners may be instructed to do at home until they can reach the veterinary ER.
