Dr. Sarah Hamer - a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine - is an Associate Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University where she runs a research lab focused on the ecology and epidemiology of zoonotic and vector-borne disease. Dr. Hamer and her team have studied the ecology and epidemiology of Chagas disease in the southern U.S. by tracking naturally infected dogs and developing a citizen science program to gain unprecedented insight into kissing bug vectors across the landscape.
