The objective of this presentation will be to describe the nutritional management of canine cognitive disorders. The brain normally utilizes glucose for energy; however, the canine brain is able to use alternative fuels, such as ketones, for brain metabolism. Learn some of the aging brain changes in dogs and their dietary management.
