Does sex have any effect on cytokine sytemic toxicity or alter the therapeutic window?
Answer (provided by Jeffrey Bryan, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVIM (Oncology)):
There is some evidence that sex is an important variable, particularly in response to immune therapy of brain tumors, in people. This is less well understood in dogs.
